Apply to volunteer at StourJam 2027

StourJam is back in Stourport-on-Severn from 4 to 6 June 2027. It is a free, not-for-profit festival, and it only happens because people give their time.

In 2026 more than 6,000 people came through town, and the weekend raised just under £15,000 for charity. Volunteering is how you get behind that, whether you are on a stage, in the crowd, or here for the days before and after.

There is a role if this is your first time or you have worked on events before. Come for the whole week, or for a few hours. Most roles need no experience, just reliability and a willingness to get stuck in.

Roles

  • Stage crew. Help artists on and off stage, and with equipment and changeovers.
  • Sound engineering. If you know live sound, mixing desks or PA systems, help every act sound their best.
  • Photography and videography. Capture the performances and the crowds. We credit you when we use the photos and film.
  • Hosting. Introduce the artists, keep people posted, and make performers and visitors feel welcome.
  • Charity awareness and crowd support. Help people find their way, answer questions, and share our three charities.
  • Festival set-up. Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 June. Signage, venues, and getting the town ready before the music starts.
  • Festival pack-down. Monday 7 June. Take everything down and put Stourport back as it was.
  • Runner. Move equipment, pass messages between venues, and pick up the last-minute jobs.
  • Social media. Help share what is happening through the weekend, including the bits behind the scenes.

Tell us which days you can do, and any times that suit you, and we will do our best to fit you in. The weekend itself is Friday 4 to Sunday 6 June, with set-up on the Wednesday and Thursday before, and pack-down on the Monday after.

Money raised is split between the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, West Mercia Search and Rescue, and StourJam CIO.
